Spring Foraging & Botanical Printmaking Workshop

  • BS48 3JQ United Kingdom (map)

We can't wait to share these skills with you!

You will leave with knowledge to last a lifetime and your own botanical identification print using these incredible wild plants!

We will start off the day with a beautiful walk through the pathways and woods which are opposite Jemma's studio. On the walk Maria will teach you plenty of skills identifying wild plants and learning where they grow. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about your local wild plants, this is for you!

You’ll learn how to identify, pick and use these plants with confidence. There’ll be plenty of time to ask questions and build up a solid foundation of knowledge so you can continue foraging on your own!

After our walk we will stop for lunch (BYO) before getting inky in Jemma's studio.

This is an opportunity to get creative, gain new skills and get hands on by learning how to make unique one-off botanical prints from the plants you picked on your walk. Jemma will show you how to press, place and create designs using plants, ink and paper. You can make an identification poster of the wild plants we found, a guide, booklet or a set of individual prints - however you’d like to remember them.

You will leave with your own unique set of prints, reminding you of the abundance of spring greens and what you can find all around you!

Although we intend for this to be an introduction to foraging and printmaking, you’ll leave with enough confidence and competence to use these skills again and share with people around you!
